Hello, my name is Kingmaker, but you can call me just about anything.

I'm mainly happy to find an active RP site... This looks highly promising.

I've only a few questions, do we post character profiles IN the RP thread, do we PM the leader of the thread, or what?

Hello Just About Anything! (okay... Smart-assry aside) Hello Kingmaker!

Don't worry. That's what the mods post up their information for you and the rules and regulations are forever present so that you can always check up on them! I'm sure a mod will be around here soon to do so for you!

But! Just to answer what I think you're asking, there are Interest Check, OOC, and IC threads in each Casual RP, Advanced RP, and One on One RP catagories. In the Interest check is where you'd see if anyone wants to join in on your idea. The OOC is for planning out the roleplay that you've got people interested in, CSs, and plot building out of character-wise.

Obviously, that leaves the IC character strictly for the roleplay itself to be used by your characters in the stories you produce! Most if not all of the planning can be done OOCly in the other two threads (Interest Check and OOC).



*OOC means Out of Character.
*IC means In Character.

Just in case. Not everyone knows this!

Well, thank you for such the warm greeting, Attie. I've been on forums that have used the IC, OOC, and Interest Check system before, but it's been so long, that I'd all but forgotten how to go about that.

Now it's rushing back to me. Well, since you're here, what RP would you suggest joining? I'm a fan of Modern Fantasy, a little Cyberpunk or Steampunk, and Fantasy in general.

Well, that depends! If you say it's been so long, do you mean since you've roleplayed, or since you've been on a site with such a system?

The reason I ask is because, if you are looking to get your feet wet again after being so dry, I would suggest looking around the Casual Interest Checks so that the requirements are not so hard on your mind and writing at first, and if you like it and tend to get a bit better at length and composure, you can go snoop around the Advanced section!

Neither section is really deprived by the genres, though. You'll find Modern Fantasy, Cyberpunk/Steampunk, and Fantasy, and much more in both Advanced and Casual (And even in One on One) ^^

Oh! If you want to talk more "IM' wise, as in, instantly instead of waiting for me to reply, look up at the top of the screen, just under the banner of "FoG" and click onthe "Chatroom". Name yourself Kingmaker so I can identify that it's you, and you can know it's Attie by my name and we can talk more quickly about any questions you have!

At the moment, there is also an Admin online in the chatroom, and a moderator or two. They can also help welcome you ^^ As well as the other FoG members who are chatting it up.
