So I am not very new to writing but I am new to this idea of role play. I thought I would try it out and start here to get to know you guys.

Welcome to the site, Harper! What kind of stuff have you written in the past?

@Kalon- Thank you for the warm reception; if I can keep myself from being consumed by all the harried troubles life keeps slinging my way, then I hope to learn how to role-play too (I've already learned how to spell it correctly at least!)
@Dax- Um... Horse! That was a riddle right? ... but then... how did bananas fit? Oh well, I won't worry about being intrepid when it comes to my curiosity, so no worries on the questions.
@Hermes- There seems to be a lot to read then! Ah well, thank you for the links.
@Daandae- Well, hell, what haven't I written is a better place to start. I've spent the past four years and anticipate the next six years working and whittling away at my trilogy of novels (each one is a monster of seven hundred pages or more). Then there is all the poetry, short-stories, and essays. I don't necessarily obsess over writing, time-wise it's more like a part-time job, but it is one of the most important facets of my life.

Is there any meaning to the name "harper"?

And how is you?

It's just the last name in my pseudonym, Johnathan F. Harper. Johnathan is my first name, the initial "F" is for humorous intent and means "Freaking" (which can't fully go on the cover of books without raising eyebrows), and Harper (the only part that really matters) just sounds like a poet's name.

As for me, I'm quite at peace right now. I've got my window open and am listening to the rain fall, light and heavy, outside with the occasional dozy grumble of thunder.
