It's over FIVE HUNDREEEEEED!
Alright, so it's not quite as epic as the famous line I'd like to have used, but we're just not that popular yet. However, we have broken the 500-member threshold! With less than a year under our belts, the community has grown into a strong family of talented writers, and I'm proud to be a part of the constantly expanding and developing forum that is host to such a diverse array of literary gems!
So, this thread is in celebration to all the users who made this possible! Great job, everyone! Let's keep growing from here, and someday we'll become the #1 roleplaying community in the world!

You beat me to it, Weiss.
But I do have a picture for the occasion.
Anyways, 500 members, 49k+ posts and countless role-plays... congratulations, FOG!

I agree with SilvanArrow. FoG does rock! I just hope it doesn't lose its contectedness with the people who regularly post here. I mean the entire reason I left RPGFO is because it was to large and no one really cared about random members like me. Here I have a home and a feeling that if I disappear I will be missed. We shouldn't lose that because member to member connection is what makes the RP world go 'round. Anyway it is a hell of an accomplishment but we shouldn't lose sight on what is really important.

Well said, Sunwolf. That connectedness is also one of my favorite parts of FOG. Here I feel like I'm communicating with real, genuine people instead of just usernames that post every now and then and aren't as committed to their writing. I also think that sense of community plays a major role in the quality of the role-plays on this site. If I don't keep up with my role-plays, not only would I let down my fellow writers, but I would also let down people that I consider friends. I hope FOG never loses sight of the importance of community even as it continues to grow.

Re: It's over FIVE HUNDREEEEEED!
Keep in mind the very limited number of people who actually post regularly, versus the people who make about 50 or so posts and disappear, versus the people who introduce themselves and disappear, versus the people who join and then disappear.
Active users fill out the first couple of pages of the members list... Maybe half of our members could be considered active, maybe less. I'm not saying that is a problem, not at all. Indeed, FOG will be here when those members find their muse and desire a great role-play. I just think member count isn't something to judge a forum by, rather its interactive members and its strong sense of community, which FOG, proudly, does have
Congrats on the 500....but congrats x100 to everyone who has contributed to making this place so wonderful!

50k posts is the most impressive thing. That's a lot of posts for less than a year.

I still remember when we got to over 9000 posts... we were there in no time.. didn't expect that.
