Hopefully I uploaded the right versions but a nice combination of headaches, mental turmoil and painkillers disallows me a correction right now.

Alright folks, the IC thread has been launched.
Raptorman and Loki I included both you characters but I would like you to update or post your CS before you start writing.
A few notes on the names I mentioned. We intend to follow the Nile though whether we chose to go up the Blue or the White Nile is up to you. The Victoria Lake has not been discovered by the Europeans yet though the lake al-Idrisi drew has been confirmed to be the Lake Victoria. The Jesuit missionary Pais already described the source of the Blue Nile, the Lake Tana, in the seventeenth century, making it a safer course for us. If you want a bit more information about what I wrote check the page about the Nile on Wikipedia. That's where I got my information.
PS: al-Qahira is the Arabic name for Cairo by the way and yellow lettering are for Djazi's thoughts.

Build: Tall and rather thin, not skin and bones just not ripped either.
Height: About 5 foot 9
Other Features: He is albino, which accounts for his rather unusual eye, skin, and hair color. He wears mostly standard clothing for one of the gentry and he has several trunks that he is lugging along with him on the trip. He also has his ritualistic red robes which he does really keep in those trunks. Current speculation for what is inside them runs from his and his sister's clothes, to strange arcane artifacts. He will take care not to be out in the sunlight too long without some sort of protection as burning is no fun.
Marital Status: Unmarried
Position on the Merry Maid: Passenger
Personality- More of an introvert than an extrovert. He likes his privacy and often comes off as somewhat cold and unfeeling when first met.
Background: Johnathan was born 26 years ago to a rather interesting family. They had for a long time been practitioners of magic, and their line had also periodically given birth to other albinos. He was the oldest of the children in the family, his younger sister being born 4 years after him. He was taught the families magic and rituals and grew up with it. He showed aptitude and managed to obtain the needed money and funds to attend Temford. He left home 5 years ago and went there to pursue the studies in magic.
He studied there and was found by them to be rather gifted as well. He gained knowledge and made several rather interesting experiments. One of them was that when the rituals of his family mixed with the way the people at Temford did magic, the results were not pretty. And so he kept his unique rituals and magical processes to himself and continued to use them in his personal experiments. He was especially interested in these rumors of wildlings and when he heard about the voyage he volunteered to go. On the provision that his sister who had arrived the year before after the death of their parents be allowed to come as well.
Skills: Highly intelligent, skilled magic, fighting with a knife a bit, cooking, speaks- Briton
Name: Elizabeth Cook. Goes by Elly
Sex: female
Age: Early 22

Skin: completely white
Hair: white and long
Build: Thin and willowy but fairly well endowed
Height: I don't know metric or use it so if the height doesn't make sense just tell me. 5 foot 6
Other features: She is albino which explains her unique skin and eye color. She for convenience on this trip wears clothing more normally worn by a man, simply due to the fact that girls clothing is impractical on a ship and an expedition. She also has a set of robes identical to her brother's and her own trunk of stuff.
Marital status: unmarried

Background: Elly was born a little over 20 years ago into a rather unusual family. She like her brother was albino, having no pigment and so disturbing colored skin. Their family fortunately had that sort of thing happen before. Their family line had produced such things before even if it seemed random which family members inherited it. Her family also had been for a long time in the business of magic. They had practiced their magic in secret before the church's hold on it was broken and they still were fairly secretive about it.
She was raised mainly in her brothers shadow but despite that, she was till taught the family magics and rituals. Elly was a quick learner and picked things up rapidly but being a girl was obligated to primarily perform the household affairs. She did well enough at that, though she never did like doing the chores and such. Her brother left to attend Temford and she regretted his departure, though it did give her more attention from her family. For a few years life was good and she and her brother kept in touch by letters that were periodically sent back and forth.
At the end of those few years though disaster struck. A group of robbers broke into the house and killed her parents while she had been out. She returned to find them dead and was rather devastated. Her family had never been particularly well liked, especially with their rather strange appearances and practicing of magics. She wrote her brother telling him what had happened and he sent money enough for her to join him. Now as he is going on the trip she is adamant that she will be going to.
Personality: Elly is a rather outgoing person. She is very open, but also very easily made to feel bad. She is kind to others but when she is mad she is not pleasant to be around.

I'm sorry, but it is looking like I am going to have to drop out of this RP. Time constraints are getting tight and I feel that I won't be able to give this the time and effort it deserves. I wish you all the best and hope this RP goes far.
