Dutch Imp saying hello
Heya,
I'm Claymore and I thought would be nice to say hello before I start spamming
I'm a nineteen year old dutch Med student, who passionately loves her life. I've got a lot of hobbies but my main interest are painting, martial arts, roleplay and music. I've started roleplaying about three years ago on a Lord of the Rings board and though I really love it there I've been looking for an opportunity to play in other universes for a while. I found this forum then promplty forgot about it, until a friend and I suddenly got a roleplay idea we wanted to work out. I remembered I had this adress tucked somewhere and here I am.

Welcome to FoG, Claymore.
This is a really good site where one may participate in just about any universe or situation ((other than porn)). I hope you really enjoy yourself, and if you have any questions or concerns, just about anyone from staff to regular members will be happy to answer them.

Hello there and welcome to FoG, Claymore!
I am ever so glad that you found us again and that you decided to make an account here - you won't regret it!
I'm curious... I hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions?
The first one is how did you choose your username? You wouldn't happen to be a fan of the anime Claymore, would you? I'd love to know why you chose your username if that's not the case.
Secondly, you said you liked painting so did you paint the woman in your avatar?
I think that's it for now, hehe. So let me just say that I really hope you enjoy your stay with us and if you ever have any concerns or questions don't feel afraid to voice them!

Re: Dutch Imp saying hello
I know the Manga you talk about (it's great by the way) but I chose Claymore as an alias long before I knew the Manga. I am a martial artist and therefore I also have a strong fascination for bladed weapons, the claymore being one of the weapons who striked my fancy the most at the time. It's also a pun on my height since I'm not much taller than a claymore myself .
As for my avatar , yes I painted it myself. It is a detail of watercolor painting I made about a year ago. The original is pink however and me not being a girly girl, I decided to change the color to blue for my avatar.

Glad to have you here, Claymore. Welcome to our cozy little community of writers, artists and generally all-around good people!
I'm kind of sad to admit, but the sword is the last thing I thought of when I saw your name. At first, I thought maybe you were a fan of the anime! Alas, such was not the case. Next, I figured maybe it was a name derived from your personality, matching a claymore landmine! Again, I was wrong. Still, the sword came first, and it's a very cool weapon, so that's perfectly alright!
Your status also got me. I figured it meant you had a boyfriend who was a big, angry Scot! Took me a minute to realize that it was a joke in reference to your name.
You'll have to excuse me for having an inactive sense of humor.
All the same, new members are always welcome! I hope you find something here that interests you. If you feel like chatting with some of our members in real-time, check out the FOG chat room. There's a link in the navigation bar at the top of the page. It's been getting more and more lively, so drop by and say hi if you're feeling spunky!
See you around!

Re: Dutch Imp saying hello
My second guess was going to be an actual claymore... then again, there's not really anything else that it could be.
Your avatar is simply beautiful. I'm jealous of anyone who can create successful 2D works. I'm not much of a drawer so I stick to 3D works or lino-prints for the most part. Watercolours can also be very touchy, so I think you did an excellent job considering how neat the woman is.

Re: Dutch Imp saying hello
Well Weiss my personalty does match the landmine on a few points, mainly on the loudness
And Immortal SIn what kind of 3D do you do? 3D makes me think of sculptures but I think I'm reading the term wrong here. As for watercolor, the trick is usually less is more. You'll never get very vibrant color with watercolor so don't try. A few subtle layers is how it works.

Welcome to FoG, Claymore. Very nice work on the handmade avatar; I hope you are willing to post some more of your work in the Art and Design section, we're always excited to see what our members come up with. I'll be looking forward to the RP idea that you have in mind, hopefully it'll catch my fancy.

The sword was the first thing I thought of, though I, too, missed the Scot reference. Very clever! xD
Have I welcomed you yet?

Re: Dutch Imp saying hello
I am like Kalon I first thought of the sword and then the anime/manga that uses the sword. Totally missed the Scot reference though. Still the reference is awesome.
Welcome to FoG! As you can see everyone around here is nice and helpful. I am sure it wont take to long to get settled in. Well, I hope to see you around.
