Yes, a large Silver Arowana (had to use Google Translate to find out its name). Though that's my Dad's pet, barely my own. We also own several other small fishes, IIRC, for the sake of keeping the 'fung-shuai' flowing properly. Pfft.

Bad-tempered. Ness.
Do you enjoy cool visual displays of titanic disasters that destroy homes and take millions of lives away (ie.: the show, Perfect Disaster)?

Re: Get to know your fellow FoGer!
Well, my grandmother, I suppose. I'm not family oriented at all really, and most of those family members with whom I was close are currently not among the living. Anyway, I live with my grandmother, and she's very lax and kind. She may also be a pushover, but the fact that she puts up with me at all makes her saintly. heheh
Have you ever completely forgotten about something important only to remember it when it was too late to do anything about it? If so, what's your most memorable experience with this mental lapse?

I would say my wife and I's anniversary just so I can get a bunch of "Ohhh no he didn't!" Yes with the accent. But that would be a lie. I did however for get my mother in laws birthday. -.- And I will never forget it thanks to them. I tend to be bad with birthdays period.

Re: Get to know your fellow FoGer!
You're kidding, right? It's like my biggest annoyance in life. I fight for original movies in the war against the apocalypse. Though the hope is dimming, and people are getting more shallow. I don't know what to do anymore.
So.
Would you kill a Teletubbie if you see it dashing across your TV screen one more time?

Re: Get to know your fellow FoGer!
No. I actually haven't seen any form of Teletubbie-ness in years, something for which I'm quite grateful. Besides, even if I had to suffer through it, I don't think I could kill it. If we're not speaking literally about the people in the tubbie-suits, Teletubbies would be living creatures who aren't quite insects. I could no more kill a Teletubbie than I could kill a rabbit - even the evil one from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

I would have to say the worst experience was when I had my wisdom teeth pulled out. The weeks following were incredibly painful. I was on pain killers for 2 weeks.

I was over at RPG Forums Online many months ago, when I was still a very active RPer, when Fate Foretold, the original administrator of this forum, sent me an invite to come join this community after recognizing my somewhat recent writing. I was glad to be recognized, naturally, and decided to join.

Yes. Because I am a history major I see a lot of those types of films/shows and I do like them. I used to like the History channel back when they had that kind of programing on a lot.

Re: Get to know your fellow FoGer!
Contrary to what I almost always answer to the 'favourite' questions, I happen to have a favourite author: Stephen King.
Did you ever read a book you wished to be turned into a movie and when it did, the movie was partly or perhaps even the exact same as you imagined it would be?

No. I find that books turned into movies never really work out because of the changes they make.

I call it the movie that shale never be mentioned again. As I am bound by the rules of not typing or saying the name I can't tell you the title.

Re: Get to know your fellow FoGer!
Well, It's the sequel to a widely popular film called Starship Troopers. That's what made it so much worse in my mind. I expected the same quality movie because I had never really seen a horrible movie that should only be viewed on the Sci Fi channel on weekends. Another reason why it sticks out as the worst movie because it was my first worst movie. The sequel film had none of the original characters nor the same director. It was beyond bad...

The "Mad Max" universe, because survival depends on automobile handling skills, which I like to think that I have.

To date movies haven't made me cry. If you are talking TV shows then that's a different story.

The Dwarf by Pär Lagerkvist (yes, it's originally Swedish, so we read it in Swedish). I didn't even read past the first ten pages, I disliked it that fast.

Deliver us from evil, not because it was a bad docu (it was actually awfully good), but because it hurt so bad. It made me SO angry.
