I remember a while back ((when I was still suffering through dial-up)), several users were using a free version of Skype and raving about it.

Well, I have DSL now, and that means I can use Skype. I downloaded it because Misery and I need a good way to see and speak to one another simultaneously across the distance that separates us. However, I could still use it to at least chat vocally with other users from FoG who use it.

It's always fun to place a voice to the user name just as the Photo thread permits us to place a face to the user name.

If there's already a thread for this, feel free to either merge this one to that or link to that thread before locking this one.

Also, I didn't know know whether to place this in the General Discussion forum or the Entertainment forum, so I just placed it here. Feel free to move it if you feel it belongs elsewhere.

I don't think my computer is fast enough for Skype, but we've gotten a couple new ones recently and we're connecting them to our network. Maybe I'll give one a try soon.

Does Skype have some sort of issues where it gets freezy and won't let anyone sign into it? That's what just happened with me, mid-call with Misery and mid-conversation with Kalon...
