Re: Hello and Greetings.
Hello fellow Roleplayers and writers.
I am new to this site but I have some small experience with role-playing and writing. I consider myself something of a poet ( although I also consider my poetry to be the product of low skill) I look forward to learning and honing my skills further here and hope I get to know people with the same ambitions. If you see my writing could be improved please don't hesitate to point it out.
I guess a little personal information is in order. I am 22 and a native of the Cree and Blackfoot nation. I was born in Mission B.C Canada and consider B.C the most beautiful place on the planet. After all we have mountains, wildlife, hiking trails, the best skiing and snowboarding bar none. We have the culture diversity like only a few could boast. Our cities mingled with East Indians, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, Germans, Poles,Dutch,Africans, Aussies, South Americans, Central Americans, Mexicans. But enough about the best place on Earth.
I also enjoy video games although I'll freely admit I am not exactly the best at them. My Gamer score is a measly 12,000. Although I enjoy RPGs, especially Asian RPGs. I think I am the only one among my friends who actually enjoyed playing Magna Carta 2 and Grandia 3. Although Culpet Saga is simply beyond my ability to play.
I am quite fond of reading books of all kinds. I can read an Anne Rice book as often as I would read anything by Pearl S. Buck to Robert Salvatore.
Well I cut it there, I look forward to my time here.

Welcome to FoG, Hisoka.
That city sounds a lot like Fairfield what with the diversity. I can honestly say that this town has people from all over the world because of the Maharishi University of Management ((M.U.M.)) and the Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment ((M.S.A.E.)). I seriously love it here. I learn new things all the time about other cultures. This place even has a huge deal with arts of all kinds from music to photography to painting to theatre.
I even had the pleasure of selling grapes ((I'm a grocery store cashier)) to Paul McCartney's son, but I didn't know it until after he left and my cashier friend told me. Oh well. I'm not really one to get all drooly or giggly over famous people, especially when they're only famous because of a family member or something.
Anyway, I'm not much of a gamer, so I can't really talk about that sort of thing...
However, I'm sure that this is a good place for you if you want to expand your role playing skills. We have some pretty awesome writers with creative interests. ^^_^^
Enjoy your stay.

Re: Re: Hello and Greetings.
Fairfield sounds pretty cool itself. As far as I am concerned all places should have immense cultural diversity. After all it's a global community these days.
And Paul's kid, pretty good. The Beatles where quite the influential band.
And thank you for your warm welcome as well.

Re: Re: Hello and Greetings.
I do like Fairfield. It's really small and sort even rural, but the immense diversity ensures that we have a huge selection of diverse foods and diverse conversations. The smallness ensures that people are generally nice as a rule. I mean, I can go to the local coffee house and chat up a perfect stranger without getting weird looks. I've done it, actually. It's pretty sweet. ^^_^^
Anyway, I agree that more places should be cultural melting pots. I hope that if I ever live anywhere else that it at least contains a hint of how it is here, but I know I shouldn't hold my breath.
Again, welcome to the FoG. ^^_^^

Re: Re: Hello and Greetings.
Thanks Kathryn, thanks… just make me hate where I live even more. ~chuckles~
I have some family who live on the peninsula across from Seattle, went to visit them for a week a year back and had planned on going into B.C. but unfortunately never got around to doing so. How is Magna Carta 2 by the way? I’ve been wanting to try that one…
Honestly, I don’t get why people react crazily around famous people. When I met the guys from Children of Bodom it was actually a rather calm moment. Sure, I had no idea what the hell to say to them at first and the meet & greet was only about fifteen minutes but still. After that it made me want to hang out with them more though because they’re all really cool guys. A couple friends and I talked to Henkka the most, about how the tour was going and everything which was cool. Janne pointing to my Nightwish necklace and mentioning how awesome that was when I first saw him was cool though. The most amusing part for me though was watching how modestly Alexi took the comments from everyone, and how laid back he was in general, when a lot of people like to claim he is arrogant, depressed, ‘emo’ and all these other ridiculous things. Yet, I digress into a ramble which I too often do…

Aww... Melancholy, you're a legal adult. You can move to Fairfield at any time. I could even introduce you to some of my friends. :: pats ::
I didn't react crazily around Paul McCartney's son, and I wouldn't have done so even if I had known who he was. It's still kind of cool to meet the spawn of someone as talented as him, though. I love music. ^^_^^

Re: Re: Hello and Greetings.
Oh, the issue isn't age but rather finalization situation. I’m the broke, unemployed aspiring writer, remember? ~chuckles~ Plus I’d rather visit a place for a short while before deciding to move.
Was referring to how a lot of people react in general, not you specifically. I mean… how could you react crazily around him when you said you weren’t even aware of it to begin with? I am aware of you’re love for music though, as I’m sure you are aware of my own love for it. Heheh

Welcome to FoG! It's always good to have another RPG fan running around the site. I like to sit down with a good RPG every once in a while myself. Was addicted to Final Fantasy games for while. Right now kinda addicted to Borderlands. Anyway I hope to see you around and I hope you enjoy your stay.
