[Frozen]

I stumble and creep
Upon this ghostly creek
To find what I seek.

The vision so foggy and dark
The trees and way I mark
to end where I start.

What is this place I have come to be?
So abstract and so free?
not even the bridge ask for fee.

Oh, right, It's FOG.

So long ago have I been freed from my Earthly chains and wandered between the worlds in those special Other lands. I run and hide to each different community but not a single one can harbor my needs. My standards too high, my ideas washed away never to be found by those select souls that would be willing to add. With sorrow deep in my heart and my mind shattered into fragments, I stumble so weary on tired feet upon this foggy realm. The trees stand tall, the fog covers all. Few times I slip and fall against the gnarled roots below me. Then I realize I am no longer human. I am a spirit; a ghost. I have no need to walk. I float over the dangers upon the land and test to enter this world. That's when I see all the others just like me. A smile breaks upon my chapped lips and words begin to form on my parched throat. I am finally home. Now I wonder, will they accept me as their own?

Hello guys! The names Kevin and it is great to be here. ^^ My brother actually introduced me to this site a long time ago and I have finally decided to come around and register. Let's see... what to say? I am a college student so my time on here is off and on depending on what I have to do. I am fun or try to be, love to flirt but not trying to get laid or anything. I have come from a variety of places such as RPG and stuff and decided to make myself a home here as well. I am a co-admin to another rp site but I am a role-play freak and like to join up on forums. I love to write. I am an English major but my spelling and grammar isn't always perfect. I like to write poetry and it is one of my strong points but I also do my best writing in tragedy and fantasy. Role-plays, I pretty much do anything. Ask and I will deny or accept really. I do anything if I am in the mood. With pairings, ask but I don't do yuri so don't ask about that. I think that's about it.

One critique I have on your writing is that I doubt spectres would have chapped lips and parched throat due to the lack of body... Of course... it is always possible for a ghost who's unable to let go of their human shell to still feel the negatives of having a body, so who am I to speak?

This place has a lot of quality RPs running right now so I am sure you will find what you are looking for (if not you can always make your own RP). English major huh? You plan on teaching or writing or something else? I myself am a History major with the intentions of becoming a history professor (college level) so I was just curious as to what you were going to do with your major.

'Being a ghost' could easily be a metaphor in the context of the piece, and thus he could easily have chapped lips and a parched throat. However, in several cultures it was certainly possible for a ghost to feel the rigours of the living; the Greek Shades in Hades, for example, who were tormented by hunger and thirst.

Oh, dear. The Kitty accidentally went into literary critique mode, and is sorry. Much prefers using third person in the Introduction forum, where he can usually get away with it, as well as broken English.

Welcomes to Frozen, who is incidentally the first real Kevin the Kitty's ever heard of. All other Kevins he's heard of are characters in books who don't suit the name. Giant shadow beast in Doctor Who novella springs to mind.

Now Kitty wonders if Frozen is really giant shadow beast with liking for books and roleplay.

Thanks for the welcome everyone! My brother's user name on here is Seer. He wanted to come back on but he is really busy with life and his site which he doesn't really go on thanks to life. I feel like the real admin -,-. Anyway, thanks for the critique but as Kitty said, it was a metaphor. As for my goal for my major, I am actually hoping to become a writer but I can always fall back and be an editor as well. I might be a good English professor, but I wouldn't be able to handle the classes I think.
