Here is the Highwaymen MC RP OOC thread. That was a mouthful. Anyway. The following will have information about the MC, information about MC life (or at least what I have discovered in my research), and of course the all important character sign up roster!

First thing first. Rules!

Rules

1- Have fun!
2- No "God" like characters.
3- Be realistic. No one is a perfect shot, no one with a sword will ever beat a gun, and lets be real. A guy with a sword wouldn't be allowed in a MC like the Highwaymen. It's the truth.
4- Have some depth to your characters and posts. I would rather have a longer wait between posts and have substances than have a whole shit load of posts with nothing but fluff. So in short put some time and effort into your posts.
5- Be nice! Everyone is at different levels of writing. I put this RP in the casual thread so everyone could have the chance to join no matter their experience. Help the newer people to become better. Thats how the art form of writing and role playing will stay alive.
6- I'm the GM. What I say goes.


Alright. I hate rules but for some reason I think I need to put them down. Anyway. On the to the better stuff. The next section gives a quick overview of the Highwaymen including roster, motto, and some of their "businesses". The second section tell of the positions in the club and what patches have been associated with the Highwaymen and what they wear on their cuts.

You, the members of this RP, will create characters and fill the position, aside from the Chapter President. Anyway, if there are any questions please ask.

Club Overview:

The Highwaymen are some of the most dangerous outlaw Bikers in the United States. Their secretive nature and violent tendencies have marked them on the ATFs top 10 most dangerous “Outlaw Motorcycle Clubs” in the United States.

Highwaymen Hierarchy-



The leader of a chapter, the President is normally one of the longest members of that chapter. He exhibits leadership, knowledge, and an unrelenting ruthlessness. The President directs all matters of the club and is considered God until he is replaced or God comes again to the Earth.


The right hand man, the President in training. The Vice President is normally chosen to counter balance the President. Generally the Vice President helps contain the Presidents views and emotions by bringing his own opinion into consideration. At the end of the day, the V.P. does what is best for the club.


Charged with the protection of the President and Vice President, the Sergeant at Arms is normally a hot headed, violent individual. They carry out the majority of the clubs dirty work along with the Enforcer. The Sergeant at Arms is promoted from the Enforcer position after showing great capacity for violence and loyalty to the club.


The man that keeps the books in check, takes notes at “Church” meetings, and helps launder the money through shell corporations and other means.


Next to the Sergeant at Arms, the Enforcer is the man no one wants to see. He is called by the Pres, VP, or Sergeant to carry out punishment of club members, murder, or other things that he is directed to do. Possibly the most disturbed person in the MC, the Enforcer respects few and fears none.


Members- Men that have proven their loyalty, been a Prospect, and are now patched in members. They follow the lead of the Pres and VP and never question their commands. These men are general in their early 20s and are considered foot soldier of the most expendable nature.


The clubs bitches. These men do all of the simple tasks like cleaning the club house, getting more beer, and being humiliated. Think of Fraternity Pledges but surrounded by dirty, perverted bikers. That’s what a Prospect is.

Sweet Butt- Club whores. Women who love bikers and will do anything for them. They are normally viewed as property by the general biker population, the new Portland Chapter is different. These women are sold as slave, pimped out, or used as drug mules.

Old Ladies- The woman in the Bikers life. They are married or in a relationship with a Patched member and do anything for the club. No biker is allowed to touch an Old Lady. The consequence is death.

Citizen- None MC affiliated people.



Patches
Just as military uniforms have medals, Biker cuts have patches. They speak of specific events, accolades bestowed by the chapter president, and certain secretive positions inside of the club. An example is the “Filthy Few” patch worn by Hells Angels. The patch signifies the owner as someone who has committed murder in “the line of duty” for the club.


Worn by the members to show they have given their lives to the club and the “biker” way of life.


Murdered for the club, more specifically earned while doing a murder for hire job. The Dealer of Death patch is worn by very few members.


This Patch is earned for murdering for the club. Again, very few are seen wearing this patch.


Patch earned for being injured while in the line of duty for the club.


Patch worn by members who fought at the bike rally in San Fransisco and made it back alive.


Patch earned by members who have done violent acts for the club. These include assault, “leaning” on witnesses, and resisting arrest.


Patch earned for serving 1-5 years for the club.


Patch earned for serving 10 plus years for the club.

Name: David Langston

Age: 31

Nickname: He earned his nickname, Mr. Pig, from his especially violent tendencies toward police. His first crime was at the age of 15 for resisting arrest, after an assault charge upon a fellow student, resulting in immediate expulsion. From then on, he blamed the police for his problems, taking out his aggresion on any officer trying to arrest him. Especially now with the backing of The Highwaymen.

Position: He is the Seargent at Arms, carrying the patches: Asshole, Genuine Asshole, 1%, and Skull with Crossed Revolvers from a shoot out with the police, during one of his many drug runs, Sgt. of Arms, Skeleton Middle Finger, Dealer of Death, A Brother Will Help You Move A Body, and In Memory

Height: 6' 1"

Weight: 200 lbs.

Build: He has a slight beer gut, but under the seemingly docile guise, lays a thick layer of muscle. Although he is a big man, he is suprisingly fast from his many bar fights through the years.

Most Notable Tattoos: On his back is a scaled skeleton, bearing horns, and a lit blunt sits in its mouth, and a revolver is in its right hand laying across its chest. Another tattoo is covering his chest, a chest sized pot leaf, showing his love for the plant.

Personality: He is usually a calm person, saving his rage for the police, but he is not a person to cross. Any slight towards him or his brothers is met with quick retribution, starting a fight. He is never afraid to start a brawl, being quite gifted in the art of street brawling.

Strengths: He is an accomplished street fighter, learning how to fight from the many bar brawls he starts. His massive body also helps aid in taking pain, letting him take at least one bullet and at most five.

Weakness: He is weak when it comes to drugs. If it is illegal and gets you high, he'll at least try it. This has gotten him in trouble, developing an addiction to heroine and meth, but he has a non-addictive personality, letting him quit any substance with sheer will power.

Addictions: He still smokes weed, rolling at least one blunt a day, and he is quite partial to cocaine. He also loves the effects most pills have on him, giving him another addiciton he chooses to keep. He sometimes smokes crystal meth, whenever the mood strikes him, and if he has to do a particularly dirty job, having to use especially brutal tactics, he snorts a brown-eye(combination of heroine and gunpowder) that kills off his emotional attachment and rationalization.

Specialty: David is very gifted in the art of trafficking drugs, and that was how he made a living for a good while, until he also picked up trafficking weapons, and he quickly acceled in that as well. In addition to his repitoire of drug trafficking skills, he is also the man to come to when you need a body removed or a person "taken care of". His long time involvement in crime and the club gives him his great skills in murder and removing bodies.

Bike: Harley Davidson 2000 RoadKing Custom

Items Usually on person: A Colt .45 tucked in the back of his jeans. A four inch sheathed knife tucked into his boot. Another four inch sheathed knife hanging only on his left hip, and a .9mm pistol strapped to his right hip.

Nickname: Kevin's nickname comes from his preferred hairdo, or lack thereof. On the mornings he isn't completely hungover he goes over his entire head with a straight razor. This coupled with his position and outwardly cold personality earned him the title 'Lex' among his peers. He doesn't really resemble the comic book super-villain, but plenty of people agree that he's got the smarts and he can be just as devious.

Position: Vice President

Patches: Vice President, Asshole, skull/pistols, middle finger, 'brother will help you move a body'.

Weight: 188 lbs

Build: Average frame, less than 10% body fat with well cut muscle overall

Most Notable Tattoos: Left bicep-Soldier grave:

He got it shortly after his younger brother was killed in Afghanistan.
Right forearm-Japanese Kanji saying "Ichi Go Ichi E", an idiom referring to only having a single chance to do anything for the first time.

Personality: Kevin shows little compassion for anything but the 'family'. To him, outsiders are just marks for business. He has somewhat modern-expensive tastes, wearing a white gold chain around his neck and a platinum-titanium ring on each hand. Underneath the patches and exhaust residue his cut is expensive leather, although he hardly treats it with an amount of care matching its value. His undershirt is a dark blue silk button-up with a regular black tee underneath, with well worn denim pants and desert combat boots for riding.
He forges strong relationships in the family, being used to an adoptive lifestyle from his youth. He doesn't fight much unless it's on the job, but he has been known to let loose on a fellow family member for messing with his closer friends. This attitude helped earn him his seat as Vice President.
After doing a 4 year contract with the Army, he quit without even considering re-enlistment. He lost all respect after being denied leave when his little brother was killed in combat. Those that would remember him would have said he was a compassionate soldier who knew how to take care of his fellow soldiers, but he spits on his old life and gets heated when others bring up his past.

Strengths: He was a certified level 3 combatant while he was in the Army, but leaves most of the techniques behind in favor of straight-up brutality in a fist-fight. He fights smart, using mostly ground-fighting moves that normally aren't expected in the average bar brawl. His marksmanship is, for the most part, average. He would much rather close with and beat someone down than try to shoot them, but he practices regularly for the betterment of his position in the family.
Administratively speaking, he knows how to keep himself and others organized. His clean nature and general level-headedness make him a trusted right hand to the chapter President.

Weakness: The biggest blemish on Kevin's service is his utter and complete refusal to commit any violence against a woman. His personal honor prevents him from feeling right about it. He's not a gentleman by any standards, but there are some things even he won't do. He hates the military as an organization, but hides a soft spot for former service members. He shows favoritism towards servicemen in the club, and sometimes hides their mistakes and misdemeanors from their superiors depending on the severity.

Addictions: Nothing hardcore, but nicotine, alcohol, and large amounts of caffeine on the all-night rides.

Specialty: (I'm going to wait and see what Kail thinks the story needs before I decide on this one. I'm not too sure what to put)

Bike: Harley Davidson VRSC that's been chopped down quite a few times. Most of the parts are from a late 2000's V-Rod. It's not the most gangster looking ride, but it's fast and suits Lex's modern tastes. It's mostly black with a few deep blue gang tags and insignias painted in.

Items Usually on person: Under his cut he keeps a Sig Sauer P226 chambered in .40 cal in a hip holster. A folding knife is clipped to his belt, and a straight blade is normally sheathed in his boot. Saddled on the right side of his Harley's gas tank is a holster for a sawed off 12-gauge shotgun, but it rarely leaves the bike.

Name: Robert Fischer

Age: 26

Nickname: After serving 5 years in the military, and seeing a good bit of action overseas, Robert earned the nickname Rambo from his fellow bikers.

Position: Enforcer. Wears the 1%, Dealer of Death, A Brother Will Help You Move a Body, Crossed Revolvers, Middle Finger and the Asshole badges. He also has sewn his Army Ranger badge into his jacket.

Height: 6’3

Weight: 220 lbs

Build: Broad shouldered, tall, thick limbed and a broad chest. His years in the Army gave him a tough, rugged exterior that can take a good amount of punishment.

Most Notable Tattoos: His right shoulder has a tattoo of a grinning skull sits in front of 2 crossed M16 rifles. The words Rangers Lead The Way is written under it. Robert also has a full sleeve on his left arm, with pictures of significant people he has killed or jobs he has done all blended in together. It is essentially a trophy rack for his accomplishments in the gang, something to inspire fear. As of now, the sleeve runs from his wrist to mid-upper arm.

Personality: Something that Robert brings to the gang that is fairly uncommon among new recruits is discipline. He is not the type to go off half cocked and do something stupid. He is calm, calculating, and efficient. Special Forces Operations taught him how to bid his time and wait for the proper moment, and also how to execute his actions to the T. That being said, Robert is incredibly violent and brutal in his tactics. He has almost no mercy, and no remorse. He does have a sense of honor, and refuses to kill or hurt women and children, and will not kill an innocent unarmed man. That doesn’t mean he won’t break a few of his bones though. He is often distant, cold, and short with his answers to other members, though he is undyingly loyal to the group, and respects only those who have proven themselves and are of higher rank.

Strengths: A decent marksman and a solid fighter, Robert is not someone you want to be at odds with. His tactical training makes him a great hitman. He has a strong constitution against inhibiting drugs, always wanting to be ready for a fight. He has been known to use crank once or twice for a big fight.

Weakness: A man of action, Robert is absolutely terrible at paperwork or business of any kind. His only diplomacy is with his fists, and his people skills are deplorable. The President usually keeps Robert far away when he is trying to work out deals with people, only brining him along when he needs the muscle.

Addictions: Heavily addicted to tobacco products, mostly cigarettes. An adrenaline junkie as well, and he is addicted to violence.

Specialty: A soldier, assassin, extortionist, and interrogator all rolled into one. If the President needs a violent physical solution to any problem, he usually calls Robert.

Bike: 2010 Harley Davidson Fat Boy Lo

Items Usually on person: A 7” solid black KABAR knife sheathed at his hip, two M9 Beretta pistols in underarm holsters under his jacket. Also carries two pairs of brass knuckles in a pocket.

At Arms, he has to be good at murder and body removal, and I also added to the patches, the In Memory of Those Who Have Fallen since he's been in the group for 10 years, and I'm assuming that was long enough to participate. Btw my fiance is thinking about posting a profile, but she is probably gonna be a dude, 'cause the girls don't really do much.

I was actually starting to look forward to seeing what would happen between two ex-military Enforcers, but its all good. I just remember that when I saw your character I was like.....uh oh, that is exactly what I just wrote....

But I guess its all good now. Great minds think alike. Oh and about girls not doing anything, I think it might be a nice twist to have a hardcore female biker who is an actual respected member of the club.

Most Notable Tattoos:
On her upper left leg is a tattooed heart (not the cute one, the actual valved organ), and written in a cursive format along the heart are the words "Fuck the System". Beneath it is a bloody knife that underlines the words.

Personality: Vivian is short-tempered, via her name Steam. But once someone gets on her good side, it's not as easy to tick her off. Steam is known for being sultry in her ways, but as well troublesome. Curious, risk-taking, and brave beyond good sense. The only way she got to the point she was though was because of these traits. She is loyal to the group as they are all she has; and willingly gives and does as they please 97% of the time, as long as it is not unreasonable, or requires waking her up for something rather pathetic. She is known as well for a nurturing side she only shows to a few; which also makes her a great aid to members who come back with injuries. (Gotta' get away from that badass side sooner or later, right?)

Awesome guys. I love the profiles. Don't worry about the characters being similar. Even though the characters have some similarities they will all come across different because the person who is writing for them is different.

Hopefully the opening post makes sense. I tried to read through it several times to make sure it flowed correctly and everyone would be able to understand the time jumps. Quick update: I'm waiting for Deadeye to post a reply before we go any further. No I haven't given up on anything. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Tomorrow I might not be able to be on. If not, than please proceed with each of your characters assignments (as far as getting guns, info, etc.) and by Sunday I will post something that will move the story along.


Also! When we start doing action etc. all GM posts (things like controling NPCs, the scene, effects of your characters actions etc.) will be posted in red.

Here's an example:

Billy saw the man with the gun, he reacted by reaching for his own pistol.

Unfortunately for Billy, the pistol he had wasn't cocked. The man with the gun grinned and pumped four hollow point rounds into his chest. Billy will bleed out whether he likes it or not.

Hopefully that makes sense. Any questions just ask.

Nickname: Kitten

Position: Member. Wears the 1% patch, the Dealer of Death patch, middle finger patch, and the asshole patch.

Age: 22

Height: 5'7"

Weight: 123

Build: Kitten is lean, but very toned and defined. She doesn't look very strong, but she does have muscles. She is pretty curvy, but not in an outstanding way. With a few scars from before and after joining the Highwaymen MC on her body.

Most Notable Tattoos: A large, intricate tattoo that starts at her shoulder and goes up to her neck. It doesn't have a definite shape, though it does look like an Indian design. She also has a cross tattooed around her belly button.

Personality: Kitten is more like a mad dog than anything. She loves violence, cigarettes and causing as much chaos as she can. She gets along well with the other guys in the gang, but hardly ever gets along well with women. Its hard for her to understand the feminine side of life. Kitten is quick to fight, even if she knows she'll lose, she simply loves the rush and feel. She could be labeled as psychopathic, especially with her fixation of blood and her unique way of dealing with people. She is cruel, sadistic and once she gets going there is no stopping her. It's hard for her to trust others. She is 100% loyal to the gang, even if she doesn't trust them all.

Strengths: Kitten's most prominent strength is the fact that she is an unbiased killer. It doesn't matter who it is, how old they are, how weak they are she will kill anything she is pointed at. Also she isn't a sloppy killer. She is good at covering her tracks. She is a pretty good shot, though she prefers close range. Even without drugs she doesn't lose her conviction when under pressure.

Weakness: Kitten's biggest weakness is her temper. She hates to "talk things out" and would prefer violence over negotiations. She is bad with money and tends to go overboard when she spends. She is also horrible when dealing with women of any kind. She generally finds her sex the most annoying creatures on the planet. She also has utter disregard for those in charge. Unless she feels respect for them, which is impossible to tell who she has it for or not, she will treat them just like she does everybody else.

Addictions: Kitten is addicted to tobacco, though she only smokes cigarettes, and Ecstasy. She doesn't use Ecstasy as much as she did when she was younger.

Specialty: Assassin, murder-for-hire, good at making sure people are in line, body guard, torturer, and anything related to violence.

Bike: 2010 CVO Fat Bob with twin cam Screamin' Eagle 110 engine, tinted clear denim frame, custom seat, LED taillight, and fang wheels. The paint is cryptic black with hell fire flames.

Items Usually on person: Colt M1911 semi-automatic pistol, a machete with a black blade, a cross necklace, a pack of cigarettes, a lighter and her wallet.

Nickname: Monkey, M. A. Greer (writing pseudonym), Mag or Maglite (developed in college)

Position: M.S. in Investigative Journalism, currently jobless. She has a year before her loans kick in.

Height: 5'7''

Weight: 150 lb

Build: slim, scrappy

Most Notable Tattoos: the word "Truth" across her lower back

Personality: Generally very serious and focused, though she discovered alcohol in highschool and enjoys a good time now and then. When Mina gets a hold of something she can be stubborn and patient. She has learned to laugh at life, as part of a strategy to help combat her stress and issues though she finds it difficult sometimes.

History: Mina's dad, Charlie Clark was a biker in the Sons of Havoc gang, out of San Bernardino Chapter. Her mother was Charlie's old lady. When Mina was conceived, things had been rocky for some time. Charlie didn't like Corin bossing him around and Corin was trying to take care of herself. Finally when she told him about the pregnancy the fighting boiled to a head and the yelling turned into pushing. Both scored some good hits. The fight was broken up by a higher ranking Patch and their relationship continued.

The fighting continued off and on for the next two years occasionally becoming quite violent. Corin managed to keep Mina mostly out of it--though kids rather manage to hear everything you don't want them too. Sometimes Corin drank herself into a rage and beat up on Charlie and the next night Charlie would return the favor. Finally, one evening in a sober fight, Charlie threatened Mina. Corin picked up his gun and shot him, nicking his kidney. He was shocked but continued yelling at her and that she had killed him as loud as he could until Corin shot him a second time in the head. She proceeded to take the two year old Mina, two backpacks of clothes, all the money and amo, and get gone on Charlie's bike.

Corin and Mina ran for a year. They made it out to Michigan where they ran into Kail Dewraith--then a Nomad Enforcer in the Sons of Havoc club. He captured the pair and discovered that they were fugitives. In a shocking decision, he decided to let Corin drop Mina off with a relative before taking her back to face justice in Portland. The last time Mina saw her mother was when her uncle picked her up. Corin was supposed to be released by Kail during a fire fight to come back to Mina after three weeks. Corin never showed up.

Mina was raised with two cousins (Sascha and TJ) by her Uncle Alex Howler in Canada. Her paperwork was shifted around by a friend in Canadian government showing that she had been born a Canadian citizen instead of in California. She played well with the other two children, though she wasn't a leader, she was neither a follower (TJ was two years older than her and Sascha was about the same age). If Mina did not want to play she did her own thing easily. She was a serious child at first and refused to speak to anyone in the family. Her uncle and aunt were very worried and got her counseling. She opened up after, though no one was sure exactly what the counseling had done or how much she remembered. She began to ask questions about her mother when she was fourteen, but had been showing an investigative nature for years.

Currently, she is investigating her mother; trying to discover Corin's whereabouts or death.
