Hi I'm Hazen I'm 19 years old I enjoy writing and love reading. I wish to become a writer and text based role playing is a good way for me to practice. I'm really new to it and I'm a little intimidated by this. I came aware of this community through my friend Tom who's lost his internet for the time being, well for awhile now but he's a book worm so he'll be fine.

Me and him basically have the same interests as far as genres go and style of role playing. I don't like using magic, just long range or close range combat. I'm not one for surprises like your sword ketching on fire through a spell, rather see you pour some form of liquid onto it and light it through a spark. Something more realistic but not as accurate.

The genres I like are medieval not so much fantasy. Post-Apocalyptic, zombie, wasteland. Any sort of survival. I have a hard time understanding role plays where the characters you make have stats or things like that. I'd rather go for an honor system where I can write keeping it fair but where I'm not restricted.

Can't think of anything else to really say at the moment. If anyone wants to get to know me more just hit me up on private messages or when I'm in the chatroom. Hope I have fun and learn something while role playing here, if you'll have me that is.

I think it's interesting that you want to become a writer. You're not alone on this site. I'm not one who wants to become a writer, but I would love to become a librarian which is sort of close... since... I would take care of and organize things others write. ^^_^^;;

Anyway, I'm big on fantasy, but realism is occasionally fun, too. Like you, I prefer the honor system to the stats system. I only partially understand stats, but I hate having to be on my toes all the time to make sure I'm following everything properly. The honor system is easiest for me.

I really like that you're more into realistic-type fantasy rather than just explaining everything away by magic. That tends to be more down-to-earth, and I really like that. I also am a fan of post-apocalyptic settings. They tend to be some of the most exciting and fun, in my opinion!

Medieval Fantasy is very nice, oh yes. ^^
Some people like too much fantasy with their medieval; some people like the good ol' medieval without all the fixin's. Me, I like my Medieval with a healthy slathering of Fantasy. Sometimes I'll even have Fantasy dipped in Medieval. xD
