Zombieland-Spoilers Within!!
Anyone who is a fan of zombies HAS to go see this movie. It was fantastically awesome
I would love to go see it again (or several more times), but the theater is just too expensive these days.
The movie contained a great mix of horror and comedy, and the characters were all awesome. While there was some corny acting in parts, and some unbelievable scenarios, overall it was great. Better than Shaun of the Dead by far!

I'm glad someone else saw it!
He's right it was a very good movie. It was simply a FUN movie, that's all. Woody was damn good in his role along with all the other actors. And I will not share the storyline because there's a best part of Zombieland that everyone has to see. Overall the film knew what it was about and what it wanted to be right from the opening and just simply never lost sight of its goals. It makes you laugh often and loudly. And it doesn't overstay its welcome or making such reaching attempts to be serious that it makes you groan like one of the zombies in the film.
But better than Shawn of the Dead?....I don't know. It could be the euphoria of watching a new zombie film that is halfway decent. Shawn of the Dead to me will always THE best tribute/parody of the great zombie films ever. Shawn of the Dead made jokes about the classics yet carried them with respect that it was a fine tribute. Don't tell me how they did it I'm trying to figure that out still myself. But back to the matter at hand.
See Zombieland it is really quite simply a great great time at the movies and a great zombie film to hold us over until World War Z comes out. Oh god....World War Z! Can't wait for that one, if anyone doesn't know what that is. Shame on you and go to the bookstore to pick it up!

- Nothing beats the look on my father's face when the clown was crawling under the bathroom door...
His phobia of clowns made this movie priceless!

Aww. Now I want to dress up as a zombie and go see that movie! ^;_;^
Oh well. My grandma said she heard on the news that this movie could become a cult classic because of how awesome it is. I think I'll wait for it to come out on DVD before I watch it.

Re: Zombieland-Spoilers Within!!
That they do Kathryn. Tallahassee is a crazy man who's obsessed with one thing, and one thing only (other than killing zombies, of course) and that my friend, would be finding a Twinkie.

Oh. I can't understand how people can consume those things. They make me feel gaggy. XD

You're not the only one Kathryn. I can't eat several types of cakes like that. I don't eat whip cream. >_<
Re: Zombieland-Spoilers Within!!
I'm not a fan of whipped cream, either. That stuff is sickening. ^;_;^

hahahahah Yeah... seriously... I may not be as obvious about it as Inerio, but I'm sure I've at least subtly leaked some crazy into this forum... I'm surprised that someone as astute at Silvone is only now realizing it. XD

Re: Zombieland-Spoilers Within!!
How could I not have seen this thread until now?
I'm not much of a fan of horror movies, but I did watch the entire film and I would gladly watch it again! It was hilarious and for the first 5 minutes or so (where he was going through the rules) I was in complete stitches. I did laugh throughout the movie as well, but the beginning for me was the best.
Definitely a great movie.

Re: Zombieland-Spoilers Within!!
Aaargh! It's frustrating that, as you say, the movies are so expensive. That isn't to even mention that in this small town I'm in, finding a good movie in and of itself that is playing is a repulsive task.
*misses the city life*
Watched Shaun and liked it, though, so if this is even better it should be great. The trailer was hilarious with the old lady killing the zombie with the piano a la Warner Brothers cartoon.

Re: Zombieland-Spoilers Within!!
I honestly found it kind of corny, like it tried way too hard and the humor felt forced and contrived (like most comedies involving Emma Stone). The whole Bill Murray thing seemed totally forced, artificial, and "wannabe" (if you know what I'm trying to say) to me as well. Shaun of the Dead was way better and its humor seemed to flow more naturally.
