Hello all. As my username suggests, I am Mercinus3, though most call me Merc, M3 or Fluffy (long story). To be honest, when I went onto another site to check and see if one of my RPs, a Sci-fi called Calamity, had anyone joining it. When I got there, I got a personal invite to this forum. Although I haven't heard of this site before, I have been on another site where invitations are somewhat needed to know of an advanced RPing style. However, with the lack of RPs I am in at the moment, I have gladly accepted that invitation and... well, the rest is history.

Now, you are probably wondering on who I am and how I am in person. Using the general idea on how to introduce oneself, I will use that and hopefully give you a better idea on how I am as a person.

You in real life
I am an 18 year old male that lives in the grand ol' country of England. I am currently a student in one of the top 5 6th Form Colleges in the country, though none of the AS/A Levels I am doing there are for English Lang./Lit., but mainly of the sciences. I, however, do not have a job, but I am looking for one in my near area. Sometime in the future, I hopefully would be going to Lancaster Uni and study Physics with Biomedical Physics.

Your hobbies and interests
For general hobbies, I play guitar and have been playing the instrument for nearly 5 years. I used to have lessons, though I generally now play it during my free time. If, and when the room is clean, I sometime play billiard games, the main one being snooker. Apart from that, I read, rock climb, watch a good movie, listen to hard rock/metal music and, most importantly, RP.

What you enjoy role-playing
The big subject. I am a person who would enter any RP that has a good plot, no matter what genre it is. The time period that the RP is in doesn't matter. If I can think of a character on the spot and like the plot, I would... you get the picture. For characters, I tend to play some good guys, but I have played some rather effective bad ones as well. However, with my flexibility with what I can be in and what I can play as, the time I take to create each post usually lasts 30 minutes - 1 hour. But, with that time, I can build up on the ideas that I have and deliver a healthy post most of the time (unless I have a writer's block).

And that's basically everything you should know about me. Hopefully, I will enjoy my time here and get to know everyone better.

I'm glad that the invitation got to you okay and that you decided to try out role-playing here. We hope that you enjoy not only it, but all the fun and interesting out-of-character threads as well! ^^ I took a general physics course (where we covered a few various types of physics), and I found it rather difficult. So, major kudos to you!

Oooh, yes! Another Englander. :3 (Most people know by now, I'm sure, that I'm a super big fan of accents lol.) Oh, wow, that's really great that you're planning on studying physics.

I really, really like that you're so open to different genres of role-plays. It's excellent to expand your horizons, rather than doing the same type of thing again and again. I hope that you find some great role-plays that you enjoy here!

I never realized that the conversation changed to Gannon trying to rule the world. Well... not while the Dark Ancient has something up his sleeve.

@ Igraine: Yes, Calamity was already made when I came onto the site, being that I have typed it up sometime in January/February. Although it is not as successful as two other RPs that I have created, named The Gelbaron Saga and The Dragon Saints, this one has had its fair share of popularity.

Mercinus was from the land of England, where they did Englandy things and Physicy things.

One day, Mercinus stumbled upon a paper, one that spoke of a mystical place called FOG.

This intrigued the young boy and forced him to consider, should he live his life here or search for Caligo?

He opted with the latter, and got a ship, full of piratey pirates and talkity parrots.

Within days he had reached the island, and was greeted by the FOGgy FOGgonites!

Now he had secured his place.
