I joined this site awhile back but I didn't post much.
I feel kind of terrible about that because I personally hate when people do that on other forums I'm on.
But I do want to explain what has kept me.
The start up of my friends RP site, which I have been helping with a lot.

Whoa. What?

Um, this really confuses me. This site is, quite frankly, copied from my own other message board, EthereaLights: http://etherealights.omgforum.net/

Even my username over at my EthereaLights is Syren Song! What the hell? I did not create this other Ethereal Lights website, so this is really extremely confusing to me. This other Ethereal Lights was only just created a few days ago, it looks like, so I can only assume they had previously come across my board. I'm just really confused how they got my message board's name and how the Admin there also has my previous username. That just baffles me.

Tempest can vouch for me here, since he was also my Global Mod over at my EthereaLights board too.

I’ll vouch for you too, Fate, considering I was one of the Admins over there. I was really confused when I saw the site myself and thought it was just one of Fate’s other sites, hence why I asked about it. So yeah, I’m confused too.

Oh, that's right, Lunar, you too.

I've never known anyone else to call themselves Syren Song either, like I called myself. I specifically spelled my name with a "y" to be unique and different. I find this really disturbing that someone else has my exact same username and the exact same name for their board. I've been going by Syren Song for a long time. My username on Photobucket, Syren_Song_Fate, I've had since 2006.

I can very well vouch for Fate, as I was one of the first Staff members there, watched and helped that board develop and grow.

I hope this isn't a prank. It would reflect badly upon the person in question more than anything else, especially since they actually sat down and took the time to build a replica board just for a joke.

Wow! I spent some time with the layout and design for EthereaLights. I remember Fate put a large amount of time and effort into that forum. Seems like way too big of a coincidence that they would have used the same names for their forum and account as Fate did. This is really kind of outrageous.

Syren Song on that forum is my friend, and she has never been here on FOG or knew about that other forum.
This is soooo weird.
I'm so sorry to distress you.

That's just very, very crazy, and most definitely the biggest coincidence of my life! I searched Google, and there are a few other cases of the name Syren Song, so I guess I wasn't as original as I thought, though some of the sites that come up are of my accounts on various things (like Flickr or Roleplay Gateway). So, yeah, wow. Insane. I'm kind of blown away by this, and just still really at a loss lol.

I mean, I can't tell you guys to change the name of the board, but it would make me feel more comfortable. Hmm, I just did a search on Google, and there's even another board called Ethereal Lights! http://ethereal-lights.com/forums/index.php?sid=94660fb9ee51aad4a12e124bb3f39611 Really, really weird! I guess mine is still a bit different, since my board was one name (EthereaLights) rather than two, and when you search Google for just that one name, only things relating to my board pop up.
