Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
Hmm... Apparently, I'm supposed to sign up for one of these.
Honestly, I don't know how you could do the Fae, so if it's too much of a hassle, I can do without (or just rip a picture of Navi... >.>). But, if you want to give it a shot, I'd love to see what you make. ^_^
And... I should provide description. Um... she's a glowing light-blue Fae with one pair of wings. And since the Fae are basically just humanoids silhouetted against bright light... I don't know what else I can really provide. Best of luck!

Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
The reason we ask everyone to do these is because these are what inspired the role play. If you read the first post in the Information thread, it explains it pretty well:
These avatars were inspired from ourselves, and in turn inspired the role play Emoria. Thats why we consider them so important to have.
The avatar could be a close up of her, I can easily give whatever Kalon makes a soft blue glow around it, if you would like to give a more descriptive version.
Emoria is a world constructed through the collaboration of various members of FOG. By claiming individual world-spaces, each player has created a living, breathing culture centered around, or at least based off of, their particular character. The character portraits are created by Kalon Ordona II and Ryona Noel, here at Kalon's Portrait Studio.
If you are looking to join this role-play, please request a character portrait from Kalon in his thread or through Private Messaging.
An important thing to note is that these characters are based off of an aspect of yourself or one of your favorite characters that you like or find important. Rather than making a character to fit this story, please make your character to fit you. We will undoubtedly make it fit into the story, as long as it fits the fantasy theme.

Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
That's kinda the problem; there is no more descriptive version. The Fae have a humanoid silhouette within their glow, but the figure is the same as far as anyone on the outside can tell (and, OOC, I'm just saying the all look the same). They only visibly differentiate in color and wings, at least the way I currently have them. I suppose I could change it to give Kalon an easier time, if he needed me to.

Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
A blue glow is not a problem, never fear. ^^
There's two ways I could do this: zoomed in, or relative size.
I'm leaning toward relative size, because nobody will get close enough to see her up close without their eyes starting to hurt.
So, since she's about 3 inches tall, if I recall correctly, I'll make her about as tall as the distance between a normal character's eyes and mouth.
If she's this size, I can even make her from scratch, or indeed, find a humanoid depiction of Navi. ^^
Is she really just a light blue silhouette with a spherical glow?

Can't the crystal be seen in a Fae?

Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
Kalon: Well, more of a dark silhouette with a spherical light blue glow and a pair of wings. The wings aren't really "wings" per-se, so think of them as more of a pair of polygonal planes of light blue light that kinda jut out of the back of the Fae.
Also, if at all possible, could you give an image with the Fae and wings separate? Because I've talked with a couple people who wanted to have a Fae side-character, and I could do simple recoloring so you wouldn't have to be bothered by several more or less identical characters. If it's not possible, I get it-- just thought it might make it easier for you. >.>
Arie: It kinda can, but it's in the center (within the silhouette), so, not really.

Re-coloring is just about the easiest thing to do on GIMP; no worries. ^^
What's my list, now, then? Let's see... hopefully I remember everyone this time.

Here's yours, Chainlinc3!
I hope I did it right. ^^ I think she's gorgeous! xD
I know you said a dark silhouette, so I'll change it to that if you like, but I figured it'd be cooler if she glowed. Anyway, if she does glow with so much light, a dark silhouette wouldn't make sense. Something that small gets swallowed up with a bright light behind it.

Eternity, here's what I have so far on yours. It's not done yet, but I wanted to get your input before I went any further.
Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
You'll forgive me for doing one for myself. ^^
Here's the portrait for my Sretin paladin--I haven't even given him a character yet. xD
Chainlinc, if I ever meet your fairy, you HAVE to say "Hey! Listen!" at some point. xD

Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
It looks great Kalon. Can you darken the skin a little though. I'm thinking she's pretty tan, with a slight golden tint. Try for an exotic tone if you can, but not brown or dark dark dark tan XD

Gotcha. ^^
I'll work on the lips as well, and the eyes--I forgot the cerise color.

Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
I like it! It's great. When do I get it in the form of a thing I can put into my posts in Emoria? Is that a separate thread I have to apply in?

Hullo. My name is Cypher. Anyone remember me?
XD Anyhow, I submitted a request to Kalon a while ago, and he told me to come back and check his thread, so, well... Here I am.

Yes. This is because, after so long, I have unfortunately misplaced your request--again. All I remember is a pirate with a bandanna, I think. So, if you PM me the request again, this time I'll put it in the savebox where it belongs. You've been waiting so long that I'll put you at the top of the list. ^^
Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
Mysterious Trenchcoat Man stands at approximately 6 feet tall, with a lanky build and pale skin. He is usually seen wearing a brown fedora, wire-rimmed spectacles, a red scarf tied off around the lower part of his face (and down around his neck), a light brown trenchcoat with an unbuttoned blue pinstripe sport coat, blue waistcoat white dress shirt and red tie. He has a pair of blue pinstripe dress pants as well, generally worn with a black belt with a simple silver square buckle. He is generally seen deep thought (with one spindly, pale hand balled in a fist beneath his veiled chin).

Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
Oh riiiiight, I remember now.
This may be difficult, given the medieval fantasy set of characters, but I think one of them does have a dress shirt, so I'll give it a shot asap. ^^

Take your time, man, and if you can't get something out, don't worry about it. I'm perfectly fine going without an avatar

Re: Kalon's Portrait Studio
Whenever you get the chance, I have a character for you to make. She is going to be the one leading the Ionairus forces that will help defend Loki's people and she won't come into play for awhile. So, no rush!
I would like her to look like this with this shirt. Keep the bird, but make it gray. Keep the eyes the same color, but make them smaller. Make the cape a lighter blue and make the lining on the shirt gray.
Oh, and make the ribbon in her hair a black feather and put a down pointing blue stripe like this on her face (left side).
Her name will be Avis and the title would be Queen of the Crows.

Cypher, I don't think I'll be able to make yours. It's just way too much to do from scratch. I don't quite have the skill yet. However, if you like, I could still make an avatar/sig set for you. I'm sure there are plenty of mysterious-trenchcoat-man images we could pick from. I'm very good at doing effects.
Digi, I know you were next on the list, but I just wanted to get the other ones out of the way. Since they were in Emoria, they're a little more urgent, I guess, and it has been a while. Anyway, I've forgotten the details, so I'll get those from you next.
Hermes, here's yours, work-in-progress. Is this going in the right direction?
And, is there more information on the character, like in Emoria's info section?
Crazy Hobo, here's yours! There was no way to do a jacket, so I went with it as best I could. There wasn't any information on marks of rank, but they'd probably not be visible anyway.
The_End, here's yours! It's hard to get hair to look good when it's bright white, but I can try again if you like. (Side note: I realized you have 'piano' and 'violin' in the character's skill set. Even if they did give Emoria instruments Earth names, would those instruments really have been invented yet?)

Kalon, that's super awesome! Sucks that there was no way to make a jacket, though what you did still works perfectly.
Thanks!

Right. I wanted a portrait for the Twins in Sephiris. I sent Ryona the links to the things I liked and the clothing descriptions, etc. Perhaps she still has those. Otherwise I can try to find them once more.

Hrm. It doesn't look quite right with that head on that base. I know...
Perhaps it would be a ton easier if you just made the original shirt white-ish gray?
