Who Will Inherit the 'Kennedy Seat?"
Who Takes over from Teddy
Like or dislike of his politics has nothing to do with it, I'm asking you guys to try and figure out who you think is most likely to take over Ted Kennedy's seat in the Senate; I don't mean whoever winds up there in the interim (if there is an interim) but who winds up taking it in the next election.
Massachusetts politics traditionally tends to be clannish and nuts, and there's a lot of back room maneuvering, so this could get interesting.
This isn't a question of who you think should win, but of who you think WILL win. It's not a discussion of ideology, but an attempt to predict the political landscape of Massachusetts in a fight that will determine who does the voting on the healthcare bill.
There are several very interesting people profiled in all this, because Massachusetts does clam chowder and politicians.
I get the feeling this will be an ignored topic, but I figured I'd throw it out in case anyone is as bored as I am and likes to speculate on current events. I know what my choice is, but I won't spoil the pool with it.
