Introductions
Hello all.
I was recently invited here by 'Fate Foretold' on RolePlayGateway. (Where my username is Horsk.) So I thought I may as well come here and check it out. From looking around, I am impressed, it seems there is quite a community and a lot of roleplaying and creative thinking going on.
I think I'll stick around if y'all don't mind.

Re: Introductions
Why thankyou kindly for the greetings. Just looking for some roleplay's to join now, and wondering if I should upload the first chapter of my 'Novel-in-process' for critique...
Oh, and I've never seen Pirates of the Caribbean so I'm not sure about the name. I chose it because of Frederick I Barbarossa. Emperor.

Thanks
And Dio, I'm just putting the final touches to the chapter. I have a serious case of teenage 'Thinks everyone will judge him horribly and I'll fail tremendously' disorder.

Re: Introductions
Welcome to FOG, Barbarossa. I think it's very brave of you to swallow down your worry, and post up the first chapter of your novel already. *thumbs up*
I very much look forward to seeing you in the RPs as well, and it's great to have you here. *grins*

Words can't express how you name fills me with warm fuzzy joy. : D
"Teenage thinks everyone will judge me disorder" Ugh, I'm so happy I'm getting over that. It should be all clear by the time I hit 20.

...You mean you're not 20? Who have I been...following this last week then??
Anyways, yeah, Pirates of the Caribbean. I've only seen the first film fully, some of the second film, none of the last. You should get a talking parrot too and rename yourself Captain Hook.

Seems a lot of folk from Gateway are coming over here lately!
What is it? The Gateway to FOG?
Haha! Welcome to our community Barbarossa! I hope you find this place to your liking and stick around!

Luckily, the number of judgmental people on this board is at a minimum, or at least as minimum as it can possibly get.
Hope you stick around though, and welcome!

Welcome to FoG, Barbarossa.
It's good to see another face. We're relatively friendly here... except for me. I'm terribly cruel and tactless.
I don't think you should be so afraid to have a critique of your chapter. Honestly, I'm sure any critiques will help you make it into something better or to at least see things for which you never would have thought to look. I don't do critiques because I don't have any tact, but I'm sure others will do a fabulous job.

Re: Introductions
Ok, coming back to this. As I am a brand new member...
I'm really struggling with which forum to post in for RolePlay, Advanced or Casual. Because looking at both, there are features I can recognize in myself from both forums.
I don't feel strong enough to write more than three of four paragraphs throughout a roleplay, often more for an introduction. But I do greatly prefer a faster paced Roleplay, as I am very impatient (Something I do need to overcome.)
I don't really know what I am expecting to come from posting this. But I am just in need of some Roleplay quite desperately.

Re: Introductions
Then perusing the interest checks and OOCs of Casual and/or one-on-one might be just what you need.

*Shameless plug, shameless plug*
Silver Eyed Slayers
If I had it my way, everyone should have a link to their Rp in their signature, that way new people could find Rp's quickly.

Re: Introductions
Thanks for the link, that roleplay looks really interesting. But I don't know anything about the Anime it's based on, and I couldn't really get more than the basic jist from around the internet. A shame as it looks interesting and well written.
So I guess I'll keep looking, or ... start a roleplay myself.

Re: Introductions
I see nothing wrong with shameless plugging. EDIT: As long as it's plugging from something that already on the site. Plugging to role plays off site is shameful.
I actually keep the link the my role play and it's OoC thread in my signature. The image is the role play and the text above it is the OoC. ^^_^^
I agree with Igraine. I think the Casual section or the One on One section may in your best interest. You only have to have at least two paragraphs ((ten sentences)) in both, but the Advanced section means you have to write at least four paragraphs ((twenty sentences)). It's good that you know your limitations, and there's nothing wrong with posting your concerns here. We're all here to answer your questions if we're able.

Re: Introductions
I didn't really know where else to go, so I came back here.
My PM's aren't sending at all. I sent a message at 1:13pm, and it's 23:29 and it still hasn't left my outbox. Now I just want to know is there a moderating service here which is slowing it down? Or some other reason why it is not working.
I'm probably just overreacting.

Re: Introductions
Ah, a message won't leave your outbox until it has been read. Once the message has been read, it gets moved to the sent box.
The outbox just lets you know when people get around to reading them.
