Trying to remember a book...

Alright, well, I'm obviously trying to remember a book, and I've tried google with all the information I have so far, but no luck.

What I remember about it, is that the title definitely starts with 'The Life and Death Of'

Also, the little I do remember about it is that it's about a middle school girl joining a club and, after a bit of time in the club, she starts to think that someone is trying to kill her.

Any of you guys know just what the heck I'm talking about?
