The Wheel of Time turns, and Ages come and pass, leaving memories that become legend. Legend fades to myth, and even myth is long forgotten when the Age that gave it birth comes again. In one Age, called the Third Age by some, an Age yet to come, an Age long past, a wind rose in the Mountains of Mist. The wind was not the beginning. There are neither beginnings nor endings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was a beginning.

This is an interest check to do a roleplay based in the world of The Wheel of Time, created by Robert Jordan, may the Light shelter him. This roleplay has no place in the Casual area. It is a world that has been in the making for almost 20 years since the first book, The Eye of the World, was released in 1990 and introduced us to the Wheel. This is not a series for the faint-hearted. It's lengthy, wordy, and immensely powerful.

All discussion concerning the when's, who's, and maybe's are non-issues until a cast is brought up.

It'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking of the same thing here. Been dabbling on and off in WoT setting RPs for some long ages now, and always interested to give it a go. Been dabbling on the White Tower group since it came to be umm...many years ago when MSN Groups were new and shiney. I was in school still, or just out...eight, nine years? Ten? I've no idea anymore.

I'm interested. Might have to brush up on the WoT knowledge for more in-depth stuff (good excuse to re-read the books? I think so), but I'm good to go at any time.

So do we have a plan of attack? Whatever we decide to go for, I'll be hammering out some sort of simple villager fellow. Not planning anything terribly grand to start with.

Well in the storyline of my game everyone is Ta'veren. Of course, Rand Al'Thor was a simple farm boy and he was supposed to be an even more powerful Ta'veren then Hawkwing!

A Wheel of Time RP is definitely something I would be interested in. I also like Aslanemporer's plot idea: An alternate universe where the 'stars' of Jordan's series were never really heard of.

With a similar plot to that, we need not worry about the events that have occured, are occuring, and are yet to occur in the actual series. This would allow us a pretty free reign within the awesome world that Jordan created.

Precisely my thoughts. I hate being limited to only one specific outcome in an RP. I like to have the chance that the bad guys could win, or even for something completely different. ^_^
