Hello, everyone!
Hello, everyone!
My name is Kayla and I am currently training to become a CNA. A CNA is the person who more or less maintains a working environment at hospitals; we take care of all of the long term patients, their needs and care, whilst the nurses sit behind the desk reading! Okay, maybe they help out a little bit, but you won't find them tending to an explosive BM (acronym so you don't get bad mental images).
So, when I'm not taking vitals and changing briefs, I am busy taking care of my great grandmother. She needs someone to stay with her at night, at least for the time being. I enjoy being able to spend so much extra time with her, because at this time two months ago, she wasn't expected to live much longer.
Currently, my best friend lives WAY too far away from me. I miss her so much, and I can't wait until December, when I will see her again. We are hoping to move into an apartment together, once her training is done.
As far as role plays go, I am not really picky. In the past, I've leaned towards realistic romantic role plays and Harry Potter ones. I am hoping to expand my horizon a bit, but am still very interested in the ones I mentioned before.
Well, for all (if any) of you who are still with me, thank you for reading! I hope to be involved in many amazing role plays and one-on-ones!

Hello, Harper / Kayla~! Welcome to FOG.
It's so cool that you're training to help out in the hospitals. I really respect everyone who's willing to do anything like that, even though I myself could never do it.
I'm sorry that you can't see your friend till December. ): I have that problem during the school year, where my best friends from home are eight hours away. I can still talk to them on the internet, though, so I hope you still have that until you get to move in together!
Yay, another Harry Potter person. At this rate, we might actually get a second roleplay in the works!

Re: Hello, everyone!
Hi, Kayla!
How do you like training to become a CNA? It sounds like you got to do and experience a lot! XD
That's really sweet that you still have a great grandmother, and it's also a blessing that you have time now to spend with her, despite the prediction that she was not going to live this long. I'm sure she and you both cherish that.
I'm also a fan of Harry Potter role-plays. ^^ That's also a good thing too though that you're looking to venture off into different genres and are pretty flexible. :]
I look forward to seeing more of you, and I hope that you have fun here!

Re: Hello, everyone!
Yah, I get to talk to her every now and then on the phone and internet, but of course it's not the same. She has a minute phone, and only gets about 50 minutes a month, if that. We used to spend hours just talking and role playing over the phone. We were going to move in together last year, but that didn't work too well, and we had to go our separate ways.
Yes, I love Harry Potter! Whether it be cannon characters during the trio's time at Hogwarts, before HP, during their kid's years, what ever!
I LOVE being a CNA! Well, so far, at least. It's a great experience, and such a rewarding job. It's amazing what you can learn from the residents that you work with! They are all so lovely, and have gone through so much. Most of them just want someone to talk to, and it makes me emotional when I see how happy they get when I drop in 'just to say hi'. Tomorrow, we get to experience the Alzheimer and Dementia ward. I am so nervous about that!
Yah, she is definitely a fighter! The doctors told her she wouldn't get better, and so she just, thankfully, had to prove them wrong! Never tell an elderly person that they can't do something; they will surprise you and do it twice as well as they used to!
Well, I'm enjoying this site so far, and it's been less than a couple of hours! Great job!

Hello and welcome to FOG! :OO
My boyfriend is going to school to be an RN. I'm pretty sure there's a huge difference between that and a CNA, but I know it's a tough process... So I hope all is going well with you. <3

Re: Hello, everyone!
Hello, Kayla. Welcome to FoG. I hope you enjoy yourself here as you've said you've begun to do.
My grandmother was a CNA for a long time, and she worked in many different nursing homes until she was forced to retire because she began to have heart problems. She worked in the hall ((in the nursing homes there were specific halls ((North, East, West, South)) where all of the people who were mentally challenged and those with dementia and Alzheimer's lived. She loved all of those residents even though some of them could be seriously nasty at times. At other times, they tend to say the funniest things.
There was this one time when this old man with dementia who was getting really upset about something, so she began stroking his hand to calm him down, so he said, "What're ya looking for, a husband?" XD
I always hated being there because I can't handle the smell of the place because it would give me migraines, but whenever I did go there to wait for her to get off work so we could go home, I always encountered some really funny/interesting things.
I have a lot of respect for people who can handle becoming nurses and CNA's and just people in general who work in hospitals and nursing homes because they're doing things I could never bring myself to do.
I'm glad to hear that you enjoy your job.
I look forward to seeing you around the board. ^^_^^

Re: Hello, everyone!
Thank you guys for the warm welcome! I look forward to hopefully role playing with each of you at some point in the future!
Kathryn Lacey: That is awesome that your grandmother was a CNA. It takes a lot of patience to do the job, but it is well worth it. As of right now, I think that I am going to further my education to become a LVN. I really would love to work with infants, so that is my goal.
Kalon Ordona II: Haha, thank you! I think I like you too? Well, I would like to get to know you, at least!

Re: Hello, everyone!
Dio and Abe...part 7
After their ordeal with the alien, Dio and Abe Lincoln went right back to Earth. They reported their findings to Ragter J. Lemmings and received the congressional medal of kick-assery.
To celebrate, they invited all their friends over to their 50 foot mansion. They were up on the top of it, enjoying a pretty romantic evening. That was when Dio put some romantic music on and slid over to Lincoln with a seductive grin on his awesome face. "Let's do it like they do on the discovery channel" He stated simply.
With that, Dio leaped onto the president and began to make out with him. Pretty loud moans issued, but for the most part, they didn't have mansex, yet. They were waiting for the 10th installment before that even happened at all.

You encouraged him. You have only yourself to blame.

Re: Hello, everyone!
Okay, must have missed my encouragement for that one, but it's fine. By 'make it up' I thought you meant by introducing yourself. But thank you, that was interesting. :]
Re: Hello, everyone!
These are getting weirder, if that is even possible.
It's like, quantum weirdness.

Yeah, you could be more descriptive with BM, but then you'd be treading John Waters territory.
Welcome aboard!
