Raefldom Academy for Monsters

Raefldom Academy is an enriching environment for your monster child to learn everything he or she needs to learn about, well, being a monster. This school accepts students from ages fifteen and up. We will ensure that your child learns the basics of scaring, eating, reaping, or whatever it is that they are most qualified to do. Special classes for special case monster are offered here at Raefldom, but permission from the Headmaster is required for any student to enroll in such classes. The classes at Raefldom Academy include:

Writing – Poor grammar is unbecoming of a successful monster. If you desire to instill fear into the hearts of your victims, you may consider carving notes in stone, tree trunks, or dead bodies. Legibility and sentence structure are key to getting the right message across.

Alchemy – Perhaps you enjoy crafting potions to cause distractions and illusions. In this class, you will learn the basics of alchemy. Learn to mix invisibility potions, size-altering potions, paralyzing potions, and groovy concoctions to render your victims stupid while they hallucinate everything from their worst nightmares to their darkest secrets being revealed.

Consumption – Many monsters pride themselves on eating the living—or maybe even the dead. This class will teach you how to optimize your eating capabilities and expand your esophagus to new limitations. Warning: Choking is a common penalty in this class. Enroll at your own risk.

Stalking – Learn to stalk your prey or victims without suspicion. We guarantee, they won't know what hit 'em. Unless you want them to!

Shape-shifting – Many monster are capable of changing their shape. But not everyone is born an expert. If you are having trouble changing your shape, this course is just for you. Learn the principles behind changing your form and master the art.

Flying – In case your mother never pushed you out of the nest—and assuming you have wings—learn to master flight in this class. You will be taught stealth, accuracy, and much more.

The History of Monsters – This class is required for all students at Raefldom. Learn your origins and come to understand a wide variety of different monsters, are from where they hail.

Additional courses may be added. Suggest some if you have ideas!

This role-play will be rated Mature. There may be content they some people find disturbing (such as blood, gore, sexual themes or activity, etc.) If you have any questions regarding this, please PM me.

Each player is allowed up to three characters, but please be mindful of putting each character to use. Students and faculty members are available to everyone. If you want to teach a class, PM me with your ideal professor and course. Remember, you can suggest new courses. I made up a few, but there is room for more.

Name: Celestine McFenrir

Type of Monster: Golden Werewolf, 30th Generation

Brief Background: Celest was raised in a wild werewolf pack up in the Alps. Her family prefers the cold to most places below the treeline of their home. She was the youngest out of her litter to be sent from the pack to be sent to the Academy for training in different socializations and scents. Also due to her human form, she hates the world 'cosplay' because she looks more like a guy and is constantly mistaken for one. Even worse, her older brothers look like girls but with manly bodies.

Other info: Celest is very defensive about her personal space due to her wild canine nature and being sent away from home for the first time. You don't get close to her unless she sniffs you and says you have permission to be in her personal bubble. She has a hard time being treated like a female due to being seen and treated like a male. She loves pasta and anything with cheese or "gamey" meat sauce.

Name: Caj (Pronounced Kai) Valharn

Type of Monster: Half-Jotnar (Giant)

Age: 16

Appearance (picture or description): Stands at 10 feet tall in his normal form, has learned to partially shape-shift to 7 feet tall if focusing. Has long blond hair that falls just past his shoulders and the stubble beginnings of a beard. Has piercing green eyes and a surprisingly kind face.

Brief Background (and I do mean BRIEF): Caj has always been an outcast, no matter who he tries to spend time with. Being half-Human, he is very small to the Jotunn (who normally grow to be around 20 feet tall and up). Being half-Jotnar, he is considered to be one of the vicious giants that live in the mountains and is generally run off with torches when he shows up. Despite all this, he is a very kind person who is just trying to find his place in the world. He heard about the Academy and thought he had finally found his place.

Additional Information: He is constantly afraid of his size and strength putting others off. As such, he tends to be a bit more timid around potential friends than someone of his size should.

Name: Fitz Arnor

Type of Monster: Gremlin

Age: 180

Appearance (picture or description): Fitz is unusually tall for his species, standing at a lofty 4'2''. He has two sparse growths of hair above his ears, and is dark burnt red in color. He is beginning to go gold, and is slowly appearing more gnarled and hardened the way a tree does. He has slate grey eyes with the common cat eye pupil. Fitz is in the middle of growing out his fourth set of shiny black teeth, and is rather touchy about it. (It looks similar to a normal humans with addition of an extra set of canines and sharper front teeth.

Brief Background (and I do mean BRIEF): Fitz was born into the Arnor Clan, who specialized in sabotage for hire, traps crafted on demand and sometimes the occasional missing person. As such, they are extremely influential and entirely too conniving to actually create. Despite the somewhat dangerous and exciting filial love of his clan, Fitz's great passion was creation, specifically clockwork monstrosities. He served as both an engineer and an administrator for Gaphering, a gremlin city before a little competition with the Hoerrings became a little too friendly. Informed by the Ixits, friendly allies and competitors to the Arnors, Fitz left to find safer horizons. He obtained a position at Raefldom Academy thirty years ago and is considered something of unique fixture there.

Additional Information: His list of inventions include, but are not limited to, alarm clocks, golems, and dreadnaughts. He is something of an errant genius with mathematics, which is necessary for his creations. He teaches three classes: Gears and Shears (a basic engineering course for traps and simple machines), From Clocks to Dreadnaughts (a broad course covering the basics to advanced engineering), and Geometry versus Trigonometry (with a focus on designing new things). Fitz tends to use his classes to test out new theories and inventions that are relatively harmless, and has no fatalities in the last three years in his advanced classes. This does not apply to his workshop, where one should never enter unaware of the consequences.

Name: Grizko Vael

Type of Monster: Hirudo (bat-human hybrid)

Age: 19

Appearance (picture or description): Standing at 5"7', Grizko is an exceptionally tall and lanky specimen. Her ears are pointed, resembling those of a vampire bat. Extending from her shoulder blades are two large, tattered bat wings with a wing span of five feet. Her hair is dark and choppy, ending at her jawline and her eyes are a piercing yellow. Her skin is a pale grey, and her limbs are lightly coated with dark hair. Much like a bat, she also bares fangs with which to penetrate her prey and drain their life essence.

Brief Background (and I do mean BRIEF): Grizko was sent to Raefldom Academy because she was looked upon as a disgrace to her line. With no desire to kill, her family decided she would learn the culture of other brutal beasts and enrolled her in Raefldom to ensure her that killing is natural and necessary for her survival.

Additional Information: Once Grizko bites into her prey, her fangs release a paralyzing venom to prevent any unwanted struggling. She was also raised to become the alpha male of her clan, concluding that she bares male "parts" as opposed to the expected female ones.

Name: Alana Sky
Type: Half Siren. Has human body
Age: 17
Looks: Bright red hair and long side bangs. Her eyes are a deep green and her skin is pale. She a a mature, seductive body due to her siren nature. She is 5'4 and has a freckle right over the right side of her lip. On her left hip she has a star shaped birth mark.

Background: Her mother was a seductive siren who allowed a handsome male to impregnate her in the cost of Ireland. After the deed was done, she drowned him. She came to this school due to her mom turning her back on her due to her human body as well as her plainness in comparison to other sirens.

Name: Elinesense La'Boe

Type of Monster: Vampire

Age: 17

Appearance: Standing at a short 5'1, Elinesense has a rather pale complexion, due to a lack of sun exposure. Her long, straight locks of cherry blonde hair complement her faded gold eyes. She sports a pearly white smile with the exception of her blood tinted fangs. Being rather thin her large breasts seem to overwhelm her petite frame, though she never minds the attention they can attract.

Brief Background: At a young age Elinesense was forced to leave her birthplace in the midst of France due to an incident with her father. Having not seen her cherished Papa since that fateful day, she has vowed to protect her families name. She was very pleased to find her acceptance letter to Raefldom Academy awaiting her. Giving up her devious past to follow her new goals will surely be a whirlwind of an experience for this young vampire.

Additional Information: Due to an often mis-pronunciation of her name, she refers to be called Eli, and will make it clear to those who find themselves struggling with her name. Along with her ability to keep secrets from the masses, she has a bit of an ego, and may come off as a bit blunt to a stranger.

Name: Chrysaor

Type of Monster: Pegasus

Age: 16

Appearance: Chrysaor has two forms. His first is his natural form, that of a winged horse, his coat the color of glistening snow. His wings are tinged with a slightly blue coloring on the shafts of the feathers. His eyes are a dark coal black. He also learned a shape-shifting spell to help him blend into his surroundings a bit more and to enable him to better interact with bipedals. This form is of a young boy with blond hair and blue eyes. He is somewhat short and slight, though lithe and limber. He is usually clothed in white and he retains his wings, though smaller, on his back.

Brief Background: Born of the blood of a Gorgon mixed with the earth and the foam of the sea, Chrysaor sprang into being. He was very frightened when he was born, but was taken in by a kindly old man, a village elder. He was raised in the village with great care, revered as a gift of the gods. It was the elder who taught him how to change his appearance to protect him from slavers and traders who would have done anything to get their hands on such a rare breed. Still, Chrysaor remained a somewhat skittish individual with very little backbone. The elder sent him to the school when it opened up so that he could better learn to protect himself.

Additional Information: Chrysaor is associated with healing and wisdom. He does have a rather vast store of knowledge for one so young. Also, if he wills it, his hooves can create a spring with miraculous healing powers, but it takes energy from his own body to do this.

Name: Rorke

Type of Monster: Gargoyle

Age: equal to 17

Appearance: Rorke is 6 ft tall and is largely humanoid. His skin is a pale grey and he can shift it into stone at will. Two horns curve back from his brow. He has long wild black hair that he keeps tied with a leather band behind his back. He usually wears long coats so that he can fold his wings up and hid them under clothes.
He has a tail as well, that he doesn't hide so easily. His feet are three large talons two front and one facing backward. His eyes glow faintly in a pale blue due to the magic that has awoken him.

Brief Background: Rorke was awoken by magic. Once a gargoyle on a church a necromancer brought him to life using the blood of a child. Rorke eventually escaped the necromancer and went out on his own to find his own way, he was taken in by a kind Wizard named Halestaff who acts as his guardian now.

Additional information: Rorke is quiet and generally keeps to himself but he has an incredible eye. He is always mindful always watching. He can't fly but uses his wings to glide on currents of wind. Also when threatened his skin reflexively reverts to stone form..
