FOG's Domain Name Renewal /Domain Down

Hey guys,

As you probably noticed, FOG has been inaccessible through the domain name of www.footstepsofghosts.com. This is because that domain name needed to be renewed. I have done this today, and it usually takes around 24 hours for it to process and complete. Hopefully, everyone will be able to come here again using this domain name.

FYI, FOG can alternatively be accessed through the URL of https://footstepsofghosts.rpg-board.net/forum.htm

Ah, well, I see the problem's already been taken care of. I had actually just sent a global e-mail to inform the users of how to access the site using the Forumotion default URL until the forum's domain was renewed.

Well, thanks for being on top of that, Fate! Good to know FOG will be back to its old self again shortly.

Oh, perfect! That was a fantastic idea. Thank YOU for being so on top of it too. Smile

I found out I still had a lot of leftover credits to renew the domain name with, so I should be good to even renew again come next year, thankfully. In other words, I didn't even have to pay anything this time around, so that was a nice little surprise.

Oh, awesome. I had seen the little credits link in the CP, but I'm guessing only the Root Administrator can view or use them (which makes perfect sense, of course). That's certainly a pleasant surprise, though. One less thing we need to worry about.

Crisis averted, thanks to preparations you didn't even know you were making! That's what I call proactive problem solving.

Definitely. I posted the link to the Forumotion based link on FoG for Facebook, so hopefully those who have "liked" it see it. I gave the link to Hello Danger and to Silvan Arrow, but I don't really speak with anyone else outside of FoG who is readily available, so I only hope others are able to find their way to the alternate link.

Most definitely, Weiss. :] That pretty much made my day/made up for FOG's domain expiring today.

Oh, wonderful, Kathryn. Thank you very much for helping spread the word! I'm sure most of our members should be finding out soon enough, either from Facebook or from Weiss' e-mail, or just through word of mouth. In any case, this should be extremely temporary, thankfully!
